The Infinite Flow

The Infinite Flow is a tapestry about one meter by one meter supported by a driftwood piece of whitish color. The tapestry is made of strips of fabric with fluid irregular shapes, dyed with natural pigments, showing gradients of white, red, yellow, brown, and, thanks to denim inserts, blue. On the back of the tapestry, there are long strips of recycled fabric arranged obliquely, alternating white, gray, and blue colors.

Materials: Driftwood, fabrics dyed with eco-printing, recycled fabrics
Dimensions: 90x95x7cm

Interwoven fabric strips evoke the flow of life. Eco-printing with natural pigments from Salento flowers, collected in autumn and spring, ties the work to the territory. Colors and recycled materials blend into a sustainable gesture that gives new life to what was forgotten.

Materials: Linen, red madder, cotton ropes, threads
Dimensions: 80x100cm

The work "Impercettibile volare" celebrates the delicacy of nature. The tree's crown, lit with a fiery red extracted from madder root, intertwines time with gesture, evoking ancient knowledge. In the foliage, light as breath, birds dance, suspended between the visible and the invisible. It is an invitation to lose oneself in the silent heartbeat of the world, where every fragment of life intertwines with another, in a harmony that whispers and escapes, like a breath of wind.

The Thread

"The thread runs slowly,
through the slow fingers
of those who know how to wait.
To embroider is to live
in silence,
and every stitch reveals
a secret that escapes time."

Materials: paper, bobbin lace, watercolors, colored pencils
Dimensions: 30x30cm

A work born from the encounter between Peruvian fabric, interpreted in watercolor, and a fragment of European bobbin lace, handmade with the delicate bobbin lace technique. Two distant traditions intertwine through shapes, gestures, and symbols that tell of different worlds yet capable of dialogue. Color and material blend to create an intense and poetic visual narrative. An invitation to look beyond borders, letting oneself be guided by the beauty of diversity.

The Wonder Cave represents an endless journey, a path where it is not the destination that gives meaning to the journey, but the experience of walking itself. It is the slow and profound discovery of the beauties we encounter along the way.

Bio and Contacts

Photograph of Anastasiia Artiukhina against a natural Mediterranean scrub background at sunset, with shadows of wildflowers decorating one side of her face

Anastasiia Artiukhina

Born in Moscow and graduated in Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, I live and work in Salento. My journey intertwines scenography, embroidery, and visual arts in a profound dialogue between material, time, and identity.

Time is my primary material. My gestures – sewing, painting, weaving – are slow and intentional, a meditative act that restores value to slowness in a society hungry for speed. Each thread becomes a narrative, each stitch a moment of poetic resistance.

I favor natural materials and sustainable techniques, giving new life to reclaimed fabrics. My works tell silent stories, suspended between tradition and experimentation, where the artisanal gesture meets contemporary vision.
